Support & wellbeing

Pregnancy is a long journey. At Her Health Clinic we want to make this journey empowering and reassuring. This isn’t just about medical check-ups and routine tests. It’s about creating a bond where you feel heard, supported, and confidently informed every step of the way.

“As a Perth obstetrician, I believe that clinical expertise is just the starting point. I’m here to genuinely listen, not just hear. During pregnancy and beyond, I’m all about real support and solid wellbeing advice. No fluff, no beating around the bush.”

At Her Health Clinic, we’re more than just an obstetrician; we partner with you in this incredible journey of bringing new life into the world.

Antenatal care

At Her Health Clinic, your antenatal care schedule is designed to support you through every stage of pregnancy. Starting from 5 to 8 weeks, or anytime your GP refers you, we begin with initial blood tests and a dating scan to map out your pregnancy timeline.

“As your pregnancy progresses, we will schedule regular ultrasounds and check-ups. In the later stages, around 26 to 28 weeks, we will perform a screening for gestational diabetes. In the final trimester, there will be even more check-ups and ultrasounds, to make sure everything is on track for a healthy delivery.”

Our aim is to make your pregnancy journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Birth choice & VBAC

We support your birth choices. Whether you prefer a natural birth, caesarean section or a vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC), we will support you and make sure you feel empowered.

If you’re interested in a VBAC we will discuss this option thoroughly, including previous birth details to find out if we are a right fit for each other.

Safety for mum and baby is always a priority and we are committed to providing a nurturing, respectful and safe space for you and your new one.

Pelvic support

At Her Health Clinic, it is not just about the baby, it’s also about preparing your body for the physical changes of pregnancy and childbirth. From pelvic floor exercises to smart tips on keeping your pelvic health in check, we’ll make sure you feel strong, informed and confident to give birth. Our pelvic support extends beyond your pregnancy, to make sure your body recovers well after you have welcomed your baby.

GP collaboration

We team up with your GP to cover all bases. This teamwork makes sure everything is taken care of; from our specialised obstetric services to your GPs comprehensive health knowledge.

Lactation specialist collaboration

We also collaborate with a lactation specialist, ensuring you receive expert guidance and support for breastfeeding.
